What is provider marketing?
Provider marketing is a strategy for creating relationships with doctors, dentists, pharmacies, etc. Evette Rodney is the Medicare Sales Director in our Houston office and has helped hundreds of agents to succeed with this strategy. In this episode of The Broker Link, she walks us through the process.
How do we create these relationships?
Evette has created a strategy that helps agents get in the door and build relationships with these providers. So where do you start?
Here is Evette’s strategy:
1- Agents must be consistent – It’s important to follow through with what you are requesting of these providers. The Brokerage will provide a script, folder, and anything you need to give the provider.
2- You must have a Strategy – Before you go, think about what types of doctors you want to work with (Doctors, Dentists, Pharmacies, etc.)
3- Create a Plan of Action – Evette suggests creating a list of 25 providers to start. Once you get permission to get in the door, you need to be prepared with your marketing items to bring with you. Flyers, bags, giveaways, and any other information you may want to leave with them.
4- Give them a high-level overview of the product you are offering. Leave a candy jar or something behind for their office.
