Job Summary: The Medicare Product Specialist will focus on specific Medicare carriers and be the main point of contact for operational demands related to each assigned carrier.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a subject matter expert on the Medicare product portfolio. Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the Medicare portfolio for each assigned carrier.
- Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of CMS regulations, carrier portals, commission statements, and specific guidelines and timelines related to each carrier.
- Receive and respond to all agent calls and emails pertaining to product related questions and issues.
- Maintain relationships with carrier representatives and coordinate operational related meetings and issues.
- Actively participate in Medicare team events, discussions and projects.
- Maintain relationships with agents and agency partners and serve as a promoter of assigned carrier partners.
- Develop and deliver trainings, webinars, and presentations as necessary.
- Assist in the review of CMS compliance questions from agents and agencies.
- Assist in the oversight of agent complaints and response submissions required by the carrier.
- Assist in the review and creation of internal materials.
- Some travel may be required occasionally.
- Performs other related projects and duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of Medicare experience; experience in Medicare Advantage strongly preferred
- Life & Health Insurance License
- Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficient in Windows PC & Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Word)
